Press alt capslock delete. it will reset ur device. if tht doesnt work either, press a little button which will be somewhere under your battery with a pin. that is the hard reset button. in both case you shouldnt lose any data.  Someone said: worked for me! Take out battery, place piece of paper over sim card (no need to remove or mess with card), put battery back in and back on. voila! If it doesn't work the first time, try progressively thicker paper, or fold for more thickness.

 Someone said: I had the same problem and discovered that the reason it wasn't working is because something is not making enough contact in order to allow the track sensor to work appropriately. I then saw that by adding some pressure to the back of the battery after removing the cover fixed the issue. Initially I place a paperclip between the back cover and battery. It worked. I've moved on to a piece of thin foam between the cover and the battery. I'm getting a new phone in a couple of months and didn't feel like spending money to fix something like this. If your track sensor isn't working remove the cover and press the battery in and check to see if the sensor then works. If this fixes the issue then just do what I did or what some of the people above are doing.  Quite simple.  :)

 Someone said: turn the device off, take the battery out, press the track pad quite hard and clean over and around the top with a soft cloth pressing as you go.  There dust and muck behind the pad - you just need to dislodge it safely with pressure and cleaning motion of cloth.  This infomation gleaned directly from a RIM trainer.

What is the difference between the blackberry bold and the bold 2?

the features are generally the same except for the track wheel on the 9000 being replace by a touch pad and internet connection being quicker depending on the carrier. Both generally are reliable phones compared to nokias which in the last few years have had a consumer history of returns due to defective software.

wow man, that is a great tip, but instead of touching the screw, i just put a peace of tissue between the battery and the plate that covers the trackpad and......... tada! its working again.

How can i fix my blackberry touchpad from freezing?

When your mouse freezes on your blackberry, wait for a while, switch it off. After an interval of 10 to 15 minutes switch it on again. Then go for a master reset. Once you are done with this, you can see some improvements. That`s how to fix a freezing trackpad on blackberry, but there might be software complications, then you will have to take the phone to the service center and let them know about the freezing issue, or, the trackpad issue and they`ll fix it. /answer.geek

What is the light on my touchpad?

Hi, I just figured out the problem on my laptop. As I was using the touchpad it would just lock on me and a little orange light would go on on the top left hand corner of the touch pad. To unlock it on my end, I had to double tap on the left corner (near the light) and it worked. Apparently when I was scrolling, I didn`t realized I double tapped the same spot at the top and it locked the touchpad (the same double tap on the top left locks it as well as unlocks it). I hope it helps

What is the difference between the blackberry bold and the bold 2?
