Someone said: It's pretty simple but "z4root" has been removed from the Market. So another wat of getting it is by opening your browser on the phone, from there type in Google "z4root.apk" add the apk. It's really important to do that. Another thing you have to do in order to install that open Menu, Applications, and check Unknown resources. All that does is allows you to Install apps from online. And there your done.

Someone said: gingerbreak will not work on the m 860. because it doesn't have gingerbread, only froyo, as for the m865 with gingerbread it's also a no go. the only way to root the m865 is to download the update.zip, install it to your sd and open it through the boot menu. you will also need superuser permissions. the update. zip is tough to find but if you look up megaandroid on youtube you'll find the link. It works perfect.

Someone said: If you root the device you void the warranty, unless you use a program that allows you to unroot it. If your simply wanting to unlock the phone from a pin lock where you have forgotten you lock code plus do not remember your gmail account then you would simply do a master reset. Take battery out to turn device off. put battery back in as you do this hold down M860: power, volume up, send that will take you to android recovery screen>wipe data/factory reset> confirm> reboot> no more password.

Someone said: i just rooted my ascend using z4root rom manager and titanium backup. it was simple. and no the ascend has ecclair not froyo because i updated mine to have gingerbread. look on youtube on tutorials on how to root and make sure if you do update your phone to a better rom that it works with your carrier. i have cricket so if i used one for metro pcs my phone will be rendered "bricked" and have to try to do a recovery. just be careful when rooting and upgrading

if the handset is locked by the pattern code you can try to enter the username and password for the google account to unlock it, or else you can try to enter the username for the google account and try to enter the password as "null" or else the last option is to reset the phone which will delete all the details from the phone but it wont delete any information stored on the micro sd card ::the procedure turn off the phone >press and hold the volume up key, the calling button and the power key together at the same time >(you will get a black screen with the android system recovery options) first select >wipe data/factory reset then select >yes- delete all user data (wait till the data wipe is complete) then select >wipe cache partition wait till the cache wipe is complete and then select >reboot system now and the handset will reboot and unlock

How do i save pics on my huawei ascend?

Install "save mms" app. Its the only solution i found

Someone said: you dont have to download anything, go to the picture and hold in the scroll ball untill a menu pops up and go to save attached file. i literally just found out how to do this lol
