Doing a factory data reset will be your best option to remove the account.
You can exclude email accounts before backing up your device. If you already backed up the device then your can exclude it from there too.

1. Connect your device to your computer.
2. Open Kies.
3. Click your device name.
4. Click Back/restore.
5. Check select all.
6. Scroll down.
7. Uncheck Email Account Information.
8. Click backup/restore.

Most of the new Samsung Devices have the ability remove Google and Samsung Account.

1. Open Settings.
2. Select Account and Sync.
3. Select Samsung Account.
4. Tap your Samsung Account email which is a gmail.
5. Tap Remove account.
6. Now log in a new account.

. Turn your phone off, take the battery out, put it back in and turn your phone back on... But don`t touch anything yet... When its at the main screen dial #86562533# as if you were dialing a phone #... Then a 6 digit code is required... The MDN code... And the MDN code for the R450 is 587846... It worked on mine... None of the metro people could even help me... They told me I had 2 go 2 the main store in Roseville... The lady that tried 2 help me almost had it but... I figured it out on my own... I googled the MDN code... Thats how I got it... I hope my info helped you..

My phone indicated that an update was required. When I proceeded to install, the phone is stuck at the SAMSUNG logo. I am unable to go into the recovery screen as well. The green droid shows, some loading happens(tries to?) in the bar below and the screen turns off and if I keep holding the buttons the same cycle repeats. Leaving them at any point leads to the Samsung glowing logo and no boot!

Mite try copying down the serial number behind the battory then call tec support they can fix it .
