(don`t auto setup0 Just add your wifi name and password manually. This will skip the pin code

When you go to Scan For Networks, you`ll find the one you want and select it. A window will pop up and tell you that the router supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup , at the bottom, there is a Next button (which will take you to where you need to put in a pin) OR the Back button, which won`t actually take you back this time, but will take you to a screen where you type in your Wi-Fi security pin (usually your telephone number unless you changed it). I did that and it connected me. Hope this helps!

Thanks alot, i finally figured out the solution, by doing a little tweaking here and there. The key for me in case anybody else had a similar problem to me, was when the pop up for the  router that supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup appeared, instead of choosing to click into the Next button, I clicked the BACK cursor on the BB keypad, and the 'Pre-Shared Key' appeared. I then entered my Wi-Fi Key password, and wa-la...i got connection. Thank you all for you posts and special thanks to the very top poster, for taking the time to document  a 'step by step' guide to achieving such result. Peace!

Usually its one of two ways: 1) Connect to an address like 192.168.0.1 (should be stated in the manual). Newer routers let you make changes from your computer browser. 2) Install the software that came with your router. They should give you access to its functions. or The security key (that is not your device PIN) is on one side of the router. Enter that number to connect to wi-fi with your device. Usually, there are two numbers on the router. If not sure which one, try to enter both. The one that works is the right number. That is usually the one within brackets.

all you need to do 2 set up a blackberry to your wireless router , it depends on which router you have got. if you have got a wps router, go into your (set up a wifi connection on your fone) set up a push connection it will tell you to press your (wps) it will set it up for you press finish done, hope this helps

You need to open the router homepage which is by default 192.168.1.1 and set the security to WEP and than enter the security key from your blackberry 9700 and save the settings. This should ideally work, if it doesn`t you need to speak with Netgear as to how you can enter the PIN from your blackberry to the router homepage . Regards, Devil H
