"Pop up and tell you that the router
supports wi-fi protected setup..."
When you go to Scan For Networks, you`ll find the one you want and select it. A window will pop up and tell you that the router supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup , at the bottom, there is a Next button (which will take you to where you need to put in a pin) OR the Back button, which won`t actually take you back this time, but will take you to a screen where you type in your Wi-Fi security pin (usually your telephone number unless you changed it). I did that and it connected me. Hope this helps! Was this answer helpful?

Someone said: Took me a while to figure out what you meant. I was actually looking for a back button on the screen.
"When you go to Scan For Networks, you`ll find the one you want and select it. Someone said: I have been trying to connect my BB to my wifi for months now The 'Guru' in the O2 shop had no clue how to get the PIN into my router. Just when I thought I was never going to get connected I stumbled upon this answer. Thank you so much! You have no idea how helpful this has been! URA*! (-:
Someone said: Cheers mate, worked 1st time! Having said that I've connected other (android) phones to wifi and it's been so much easier. Why is it so much more hassle on blackberry?
Someone said: brilliant! thank you so much!!!!

Someone said: superb your de man!!!!!!!!!many thanks works
afroprincess_7 said: Judging from the comments you've received the material is really helpful, but I am still struggling to get by once I see the window with the pop up that tells you that the router supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup. I see the Next button, but once I click next, it shows this the following information: Provisioning Wi-Fi Profiles...Enter this PIN into your wireless router: (E.g. 43512447....(a pin that changes every 4:59 mins) at the bottom of that screen is a CANCEL button. I can't see a BACK button, so I followed the advice of some of the comments displayed and clicked the Back arrow on the keypad, to see if it would actually take me back to the screen where you type in your Wi-Fi security pin. I can't see that at all, what it did instead was take me back to this screen : Set up Wi-Fi Connection
Select an option:
-Scan For Networks
-Manually Add Network
-Push Button Setup
-Get Security Key
-Wi-Fi Options.
Has anybody else had a similar problem, if so please help. To the top poster, thanks for your efforts for real.. Thanks alot, i finally figured out the solution, by doing a little tweaking here and there. The key for me in case anybody else had a similar problem to me, was when the pop up for the router that supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup appeared, instead of choosing to click into the Next button, I clicked the BACK cursor on the BB keypad, and the 'Pre-Shared Key' appeared. I then entered my Wi-Fi Key password, and wa-la...i got connection. Thank you all for you posts and special thanks to the very top poster, for taking the time to document a 'step by step' guide to achieving such result. Peace!
