How do i turn off rotation lock on ipod?

If you have ios 4.xx, when you double click the home button you will see what apps are running in the background. Scroll left through those icons, and it will give you two icons and some music controls, all you have to do is tap the grey icon on the left (the one with the circular arrow on it).... This either locks, or unlocks the screen rotation lock, as well as removing the corresponding status bar icon. Hope this helps.

I had the same problem! You rotate the screen by placing two fingers, such as the index and pointer fingers, and twisting them simultaneously in the direction that you want to screen to be oriented in.

Why did my flip lock on my ipad turn in to my volume lock?

I had same question, but answer seems straightforward (and unhelpful... lol). You probably "upgraded" (downgraded?) to the new os. Apple has decided, apparently, to turn the "flip" button into a "mute" button. Only Apple knows why....
