Someone said: thank you you gem!!! i was wondering why my cable was not working xoxoxo
JeffB said: I found my problem to the above posted question. I was using an 'extension plug' to connect to my usb port. One of those "duh" moments. I didn't need it, in this case, it was quicker. But it wasn't connecting well. I removed it, and it was fine. So the problem was only in the connection, not the phone, or procedures. Thanks. Your site is a good resource.
Someone said: God you're clever. I wouldn't have thought to drag down the top part where notifications come in! Thank you very much. Easy......
Someone said: Thank you sooooo much. Easy when you know how!

Someone said: Rubbish phone that I traded my trusty Iphone 3 for. If it isn't going to work for all of them its not much good. Bring on the iPhone 5, QUICK!
Someone said: It worked! Thank you! I was looking for "mass storage" like my old phone did. Uploaded all of my photos from my phone onto my computer..just in case my phone decides to stop working again, and I don't want to lose all of my photos of my daughter!
Someone said: Since I'm just copying some song not downloading, there's no fee right? lol
Someone said: Brilliant...would never have guessed this....thank you x
Someone said: To those users for whom the 'mount drive trick' from your pc does not work.
1)Get hold of your phone. Then go into 'Settings' > "Connect to pc'> ''Default connection type">and select third option called "Disk Drive"
2)Connect your phone through USB to your computer. Your PC will now detect your phone's memory as external drive.

Someone said: Yay thanks all done now. Top tip :)
Someone said: It should say something about file transfer, then when u click it activates the phone as a USB
Thanks it worked perfectly.... Thanks a lot, was strugling from morning...
Someone said: For those of you who couldn't get it to work on your mac, here's what I did:
1. Connect Droid USB cable into computer's USB slot
2. Drag down top bar on droid (the same bar that shows that battery life)
3. It says USB connection, select to manage your USB connection
4. Select Windows Media Share
Your itunes and iphoto should pop up and you can choose what you want to share.
Hope this helps! :)
chomememg said: Very very thank you for your answer. I am now ok by your way.... :)
Someone said: This was very helpful thank you. On my Galaxy S2 there was no "mount" option. However, instead (once I had expanded the top pull-down bar thingy) I had to activate the USB Mass Storage option. It works a treat now and I have transferred my photos to my mac, but I would have never got there without this original post :)
Someone said: Great it worked :-)
