i have the same problem, however mine is with a LGGT540. i found an answer that said take the battery out and put it back in. do not put the power on. hold down the volume up/down button and power on/off button together until the screen comes on. then let go and you should be good from there. but it hasn`t worked for me so. but try it on your samsung it may wrk :)

I even had the courage to lock my phone again,and try this again..and it workd second time to ;) I hope this works for someone else to :)

For me, nothing worked. So I did a hard restart on my phone. It wasn`t very difficult and in the end, I only had to re download apps that weren`t installed originally. My contacts were on the phone and all of my pictures were there as well. Just have to do some tweaking to get it were I had it but it worked pretty well.

In order to do that u must hold down the volume up and down button along with the power button. Make sure ur holding all 3 at the same time then it will power on and then u can either reboot or restart ur phone.

If you forgot your password or pattern all you have to do is hold the volume up and down button together along with the power button. Make sure you hold all three buttons at the same time until the power comes back on and then u can restart it or reboot it from there.
