"A circular arrow around it in the status bar at the top the screen..."



A padlock with a circular arrow around it in the status bar at the top the screen means that the phone is locked to portrait mode and will not rotate to landscape mode. This can be turned on and off by double clicking home so that your open apps are displayed then swiping these icons to the right until your iPod contols appear, you should see an icon with a circular arrow. This icon locks your screen rotation.

Someone said: ok this is how you take it off, first double click home button next when your screen scrolls up showing you your apps that are running in the background slide your finger across to the RIGHT moving the ipod symbol to the RIGHT you'll see now other commands for your ipod and the one to the left is the LOCK ICON click it and it disables that icon. Now the reason for this icon is to left you know that you can not use your ipod in Portrait mode.

"Ipod app an mis-tap the last song icon..."



It is called `portrait lock.` you can access this by double clicking your home screen button. This will bring up your active apps in a tray list. If you scroll all the way to the left you will see five icons (arrow circle, last track, play/pause, next track and iPod). If you accidentally choose the `portrait lock` you choose to make your phone display in portrait style only, no landscape orientation. If you have done this, just tap the circle with an arrow and you should be set! The way this is accidentally turned on is usually when you are choosing to use your iPod app an mis-tap the last song icon . I hope I helped

Hey guys and gals, the icon may just be the TTY is turned on. Go to settings> phone> TTY and turn it off. Poof the icopn is gone!!

It`s something to do with call forwarding. I had the same issue but when I opened and closed the call forwarding setting it vanished.

Go to settings, location services, scroll down to see which apps also show the arrow and toggle it off. This will eliminate the annoying arrow and save battery life.

"U enable landscape texting aka removing the icon is by going into the multitasking..."



Well I researched about this and I found out that it means that u disabled landscape texting or typing on accident how u enable landscape texting aka removing the icon is by going into the multitasking bar or by double clicking the home button and slide to the left were there is iPod controls. There is a button on the far left that is the icon tap it once and ur done :) also if u guys have an iOS iPhone or iPod touch and don`t have multitasking and/or wallpaper background oppsions then get ztoggle from cydia it is a gray app u get with a black zigzag through it. Inside u choose which device u have then u toggle either multitasking and/or the wallpaper option hope this helps :) sincerely, Vlad Z
