I am trying to do the "factory reset" and I have gone to Options, Security Options....but there is nothing called "general settings"...there is several things listed but not that. There is something called "security wipe", however it seems to only be asking about deleting email, etc. Any ideas?

Connect your ipod to the computer. Then load up iTunes and go to the ipod toich pannel. Then click restore. That will wipe everything from it including the password.

What do u mean by without passcode... dont you have the passcode to opne the iphone or u dont want to put a passcode .. in either case.... just get it formated to new one.. u should enter your iphone in DFU mode, then connect to the itunes and restore it... u shud check http://www.iphone-god.blogspot.com for further detailed instructions.

As of August 29, 2011, these steps will allow you to restore your Blackberry Curve 8530 to Factory Settings. This will reset your Blackberry device to the same state it was in when you removed it from the box. 1. Click the Blackberry Menu button to the immediate left of the touch pad below the screen. 2. Look for and click the Options icon which looks like a wrench. 3. Click on "Security Options" 4. Click "Security Wipe" You will now need to select the data you would like deleted from your Blackberry. For a full wipe to restore factory settings, do the following: 5. Place a check mark beside "Emails, Contacts, Etc." (Be sure you have first backed up ALL data as this will remove any of the above items and you will not be able to restore them without a backup!) 6. Put a checkmark beside "User Installed Applications" 7. It is not advised to put a checkmark beside "Media Card" if you have one inserted in your Blackberry unless you want to completely wipe everything from your SD Memory Card. I always remove my SD Card from my Blackberry to ensure it is not accidentally erased during this procedure. 8. Type the word "blackberry" (without the quotation marks) in the bar at the bottom. 9. Click the "Wipe" button. 10. You will get a popup that tells you that the device is "Erasing Information. WARNING: Do NOT pull the battery out until erasing is complete!" Once this process has completed, your Blackberry should be at its factory default settings and you can then proceed to restore any data such as address books, ringtones, applications, photos, music, etc. onto your Blackberry smartphone. Remember that you will have to set up any e-mail accounts that you have before you`ll be able to receive email on your Blackberry again.
