Hi. basically if your parents are still included among your beneficiaries, they will for surely receive still benefits from that. In addition, you should have all the supporting documents that in case they will need to support this clams.

Unfortunately, you are not qualified as the dependent for your mother because these are the following requirements for applications of dependent.
Must be dependent of the parents with legally affiliated with the family.
-Must be single.
-Not more that 21 years old
-Without work

- In your case, you are already married and at the same time 23 years old. You are not qualified anymore and cannot be dependent to your parents, you are dependent anymore.

She can still file her own tax return. She will need to make sure she checks the box that says someone else can claim her as a dependent.

If she paid federal taxes this past year, then I would suggest she files her tax return. She may be entitled to a tax refund.

I`m in America. They haven`t supported me financially or emotionally for that matter. As a matter of a fact we supported my parents and my two younger brothers. Paid for everything.

He will still get his refund but after the IRS receives his documentations proving he supported you and the boys it could take as long as 6 months before he will see the refund.

Most likely, taxes is a benefit for the parents, due to paying CO fees and so on.
