How To Ask Questions

 

  1. Type your question into the large blue ask a question form located at the top of each page
  2. Simply post your question in the box - be as detailed and clear as possible so that people will have a better chance of posting a helpful answer - and then click the Ask Now! button.
  3. Answer a question on a topic you know well. Our site is free of charge and in order to keep it that way we rely on members helping other members to answer their questions. In order to have your question answered by other community members you must first answer a question for another user. It's only fair!

 

How To Answer Questions

 

After you sign up to Askmefast.com, you can start searching for questions to answer using the search form located in the header of the site. You will receive points every time you answer a question, and you'll get more points if that question doesn't already have any existing answers.

  1. Click the Answer Question link in the main menu. Here you will be presented with a list of Popular Questions Without Answers. You can also use the search form located in the header with the "unanswered" checkbox checked.
  2. 2. Simply click one of the questions in the search results (one that you believe you know the answer to) and post your helpful answer. Soon you will notice other members responding to your answer, as well as giving it a "thumbs up" vote or "helpful" rating if they like it. This is how you earn additional points.

 

How To Comment

 

Every answer on the website has a "comment" button where users can fill in additional details which will help clarify an answer or allow users to ask for additional information about an answer. How To Rate An Answer Our site uses two distinct ratings methods to help our users navigate to useful responses.

Our pages are sorted using a count of up votes vs down votes an answer receives. In additional to the voting users can also rank answers as helpful or unhelpful which is relayed to the member who contributed the answer to let them know they helped someone or their answer needs more work.

 

Friends & Followers

 

At Askmefast.com it is possible to follow other members contributions. It is also possible to convert members who are following you into friends. Our friends and followers system allows you to keep up to date with other members who provide information on topics you are interested in.

Followers and friends are tracked on your user profile page allowing you to easily see and contact the other members you have developed a relationship with. You can also view what other members are following you and convert those users into friends at your discretion.

The Friends & Followers system is a great way to build up a network of contacts and friends who have information and expertise on topics where you may need help.

 

Latest Activities

 

You will also notice a Latest Activity live feed on the right hand side of the website under your Profile box. This is a live stream of what is happening on the site right now. This is a great way to find brand new questions to answer, and to learn who is the most active at Askmefast.com.
